Collagen Bombs
Collagen Bombs
Chicken feet broth? You're either delighted or already running for the hills!
If you're in the second camp, let me convince you to stay! I promise you won't taste the feet. Just a beautifully rich, comforting chicken broth, packed with naturally occurring collagen, gelatin and amino acids that provide the building blocks for healthy skin, joints and connective tissues.
In traditional Chinese postpartum care, chicken feet have long been treasured for creating deeply nourishing, gelatin rich broths. These warming soups are traditionally enjoyed during the fourth trimester to help new mothers feel replenished, comforted and cared for after birth.
I've struggled to find chicken feet bone broth anywhere in stores, not to mention how difficult it is to source really good quality chicken feet. So I decided to make my own using the beautiful Lodden Estate chicken. Their chickens are pasture raised, free range and fed organic feed, without added hormones or antibiotics.
Simply dissolve one in boiling water for a cosy sip, or pop a cube into your favourite recipes for an extra collagen boost.
