A centuries old Polish favourite, Bigos takes its name from the hearty stews traditionally enjoyed on hunting expeditions. Our version slowly simmers tender meats, vibrant red cabbage, earthy shiitake mushrooms and fragrant spices into a wonderfully rich, savoury stew. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, shiitake mushrooms are treasured for their nourishing qualities and are traditionally used to support Qi and digestive harmony. Paired with antioxidant rich red cabbage and meats abundant in protein and iron, this deeply comforting dish brings together European tradition and Eastern wisdom. A beautiful way to nourish and replenish the body after childbirth.

Heating Instructions

For best results, thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Transfer to a saucepan and gently heat over medium to low heat, stirring occasionally, until piping hot throughout. Add a splash of water to loosen it up a bit.

Storage

Keep tucked away in the freezer until you’re ready to enjoy. Once thawed, keep refrigerated and enjoy within 3 days. Do not refreeze once thawed
